This client was hesitant to discard the old logo. The solution was to keep the existing logo but completely rework its brand guidelines. Creating a playful, bright colour palette with illustrative elements and graphics, along with new font usage to better support the updated image Once the branding was finalised, I moved on to creating the print and design elements templates, which I handed to my team to fulfil, before starting the website.
In the three months leading up to the website's live date, I worked with the Basis management team and director as well as the web design team in all facets of research, design, and development.
The design process followed a macro-structured timeline of projects that were mapped to weekly release cycles directly with the team. This often involves initial storyboarding research. The analysis and discovery of the website included low-fidelity wireframe creation and implementation meetings. I then moved on to development and visual design. I created templates for the key pages for the web team to use on their build. New or more complicated areas were done by myself.
